Different places, cultures, and regions represent different food habits. This helps in understanding the food preferences of people belonging to different regions (Silva, et al.). This assignment was interesting as it reminded me of the international kitchen class that we had as art of the AOS Culinary program. International hotels in my professional experience (in working in a few) and personal experience (while traveling) are notorious for being exclusive and for capturing cuisines that fit many cultures and pallets. I can remember the Intercontinental hotel I stayed at in Ireland provided a variety of local options for all day parts but also made it very intentional to meet the needs of American traveller’s other countries to ensure to make their guests feel comfortable and to ensure they didn’t force people to adapt in fear of a poor dining experience.
